Who we are
Whirlmotion is a trading name of Studio Whirl Motion Ltd, a motion, 3D and AI studio in London, registered in England and Wales, company number 13354130. Registered office: Flat 4 Constance House, 85-87 Churchfield Road, London W3 6AH. For anything about your data, write to hello@whirlmotion.com.
Analytics
Only if you accept, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which work gets watched: the pages you view, the films you play, the site you came from, your device and browser, and your approximate location (country and city). Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Google may process this data in the United States.
Accepting sets two cookies, _ga and one starting with _ga_, which last up to two years. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. If you decline, nothing from Google loads and no cookies are set. You can change your answer at any time: .
What your browser keeps
Your light or dark choice and your cookie answer are kept in your browser only. They are not cookies and are never sent to us.
Hosting and video
The site and its videos are served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your IP address to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
One project page, Maximum VR, plays its film from Vimeo. Nothing from Vimeo loads until you press Play, and the player is asked not to track you.
When you use the contact form
What you send (your name, email, company and message) is emailed to our studio mailbox (Google Workspace) and held by Cloudflare only until our own CRM, which runs on our computer and not with a CRM company, collects it; then it is deleted from Cloudflare, after 30 days at the latest. To stop spam we count messages per sender for an hour, using a scrambled form of the IP address, never the address itself, and the form page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which looks at your browser to tell a person from a bot (usually without asking you anything) and is not used for advertising.
When you email us
We keep the emails you send us, with your name and company, to reply and to work with you. We don't sell or share them, and we don't add you to mailing lists.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you: write to hello@whirlmotion.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
